When it comes to learning a foreign language, books and other learning materials are all resources that are greatly valued. Yet, every method is not perfect. Books and other learning materials that are based around the individual can only go so far. The language manuals and grammar books help you learn the rules and the foundation to build the language upon. Manuals and books do help a person to improve when they make mistakes, but a book cannot help correct a paper.

My experiences in foreign languages has been both as a teacher and as a student. I have spent many years learning a foreign language as well as tutoring and teaching students in my native language, English. These experiences have not only offered me an education in a foreign language, but a deeper understanding of the needs of my students when helping them with my native language. A greater understanding comes from having the ability to express complicated ideas and concepts across to an individual.

This poses a problem when it comes to writing and essays. Even native speakers of any language need to proofread their papers for some level of perfection. Proofreading becomes a harder task for those students when the paper is in a foreign language. Much care is taken in writing out sentences and organizing the paper along the rules the person has learned for so long. When it comes to look the paper over, the student tried their best and did everything as they see as being written correctly.

Not everybody has the ability to hassle a friend or family member to read, correct, and offer tips for improvement. After teaching and tutoring Chinese students in English for many years, I understand the fact that people require help out of the classroom. I intend to offer to read essays, highlight corrections, as well as offering tips for improvement based upon the individual's writing style.

I have recently moved back to the USA and wish to continue providing services to help Chinese students in English writing. My main experiences in tutoring students outside of the classroom has been focused around TOEFl, IELTS, and other English language assesment tests. After prolonged living in China, I am quite aware of the restraints placed upon students seeking to improve their english levels.

I correct TOEFL, IELTS, etc. essays during my spare time and intend it to be focused around the student, not a big multi-business corporation. The fee is 30 RMB per essay (Or $3.50 here in the USA -like treating me to a drink in the USA as a thanks) or 50 RMB for two essays. This is literally run by one-person because I wish to continue helping Chinese students improve and prepare for the tests that they study so hard for.

In addition to all of that, I offer a forum with information about American universities and cities for students interested in going to school in the USA. The problem with wikipedia is that it has a great wealth of information about American cities and universities that can be beyond useful for reasearching what the cities and universities have to offer prospective students.

Yet, some of this information cannot be directly accessed by people wanting to do research. My solution to that problem is having a forum to post the information copied from wikipedia to for those interested. If the school or city that somebody is interested in learning more about is not posted, they can just request info to be posted and I will post it as soon as I can.
